Have you ever wondered if Google uses or shares the confidential company information coming into your AdWords or Analytics accounts when using advanced tools such as e-commerce tracking or retargeting?
Today, I asked my Google Representative that very question, and I’m pleased with the answer:
The information gathered is definitely account specific – you are the only people that have access to it, and we report it to solely the users on your account.
This question doesn’t apply for remarketing, because the code on your site is solely used to show ads again to people who have previously visited your website. The code purely enables the website to track user behavior on your site so you can use it to your advantage – there is no sharing of your website information with any other.
